It works, No hum I bought two of these for under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. One was to replace exactly the same model transformer that went bad after some years of use. I think it died because it was run for a long time with less of a load (one bulb instead of two) than it is specified for. Apparently that is not good, so be sure to replace blown bulbs! The other one was to replace an inferior and much cheaper looking transformer that worked OK, but that made a very audible of humming noise even at full power. These units are quiet though not totally silent. No issues here. Happy to be able to buy so conveniently from Amazon.com because local electrical supply houses don’t seem to carry them.
Works as Advertised Works as it should. Be careful not to simply measure the output voltage with a non RMS meter and expect to see 12vac. I read somewhere in a tutorial that the output frequency is too high for a normal meter to pick it up. I thought it didn’t work at first but then just hooked it in and lit the light.
